Hayfork holds it fireworks on the 3rd of July of each year. The fireworks production is done by Fred May of Boom Boom Productions. Since Fred lives in Hayfork with his family, he see's that Hayfork gets a little bit extra each year.

The show starts early in the morning with all the prep work, the stand has to be setup and the tubes have to be loaded.

The tubes get set in place and then the crew starts to drop the shells into the tubes.

You have to know what you are doing with these highly explosive shells. One mistake and the fireworks can begin before you want it too.

Fred May(left)and Randy Bashaw see to it, that all fireworks are what the customer ordered. Fred May this year as in many years has not charged for the fireworks at Hayfork. Boom Boom Productions has about 44 events in the north state to do, over the 4th of July weekend.







People all over from the southern part of Trinity County come to see the fireworks and meet up with old friends.

It takes many volunteers to put on this fireworks program. Almost all the the service clubs, business and individuals help in some way to make this one of Hayforks biggest events of the year. After all the work this is what Hayfork gets to see in the sky.
