Some call it "God's Country"

Hayfork is located in the center of relaxing, rural Trinity County. About twenty-six hundred of us make our homes here, raise our families here, and operate our businesses here. Hayfork is far enough inland to avoid the dampness of the marine layer, and our twenty-three hundred foot elevation offers an escape from the oppressive heat of the Sacramento Valley. State Highway 3, connecting two major cross-state routes, Highways 299 and 36, passes through the middle of town. An excellent airstrip, located between the center of town and the Trinity County Fairgrounds, meets Basin Utility II standards.
