Located in the Center of Trinity County
some call it "God's Country"

Welcome to the Hayfork, CA home page.  Hayfork is located half-way between Redding  and Eureka, Ca.  We are surrounded by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest.  About 2200 of us call Hayfork home.  Most of us wanted to get out of concrete jungle way of living. Hayfork is about twenty-three hundred foot in elevation.  We are far enough away from the Sacramento Valley that we have cooler weather than Redding. We trend to be a little colder than Redding in the winter but we also get to enjoy the four seasons.

Hayfork has one of the longest airstrips in the county and we are easily connected to major state highways of State Hwy 3 and Hwy 36. The area has excellent hunting and fishing is available at the local reservoir, which has trout and catfish. Both skiing and boating are close by.  Hayfork has most of the businesses that you need for everyday living, and there are major stores both east and west from Hayfork.

We live in Hayfork because we like the view of the mountains, the fresh air, little traffic and good country living at its best. Hayfork is not the biggest community, but we are the best in Trinity County.
